Tomato Sev Puri: Spicy Chaat Recipe
Chaats are one of the most highly preferred evening snacks. We all love to munch a little snack in the evening even if we are not that hungry. Street chaats are so tempting that no one can resist it. From bhel puri, pani puri, pav bhaji, to sev puri, we just need something crisp, spicy or sweet to munch and curb our cravings.
As the season is changing, it is not at all hygienic to hog on street chaats. So, try some easy chaats at home. Here is the simple and quick recipe to make tomato sev puri chaat. This is not a typical sev puri chaat recipe. Here, the masala will be spread on the thin slices of tomato and not sev puri. Amazed?? Check out the yummy and different chaat recipe.

Tomato sev puri chaat recipe: Tasty and spicy evening snack
Serves: 2
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
- Onions- 2 (finely chopped)
- Carrot- 1 (grated)
- Tomatoes- 3-4
- Capsicum- 1 (finely chopped)
- Green chillies- 2-3 (finely chopped)
- Sev puri- 7-8 pieces
- Chaat masala- 1tsp
- Cumin seeds powder- 1tsp (cumin seeds are roasted and then grounded)
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Amchur- ½ tsp
- Lemon juice- 1tsp
- Sev- 2tbsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (finely chopped)
Procedure
- In a bowl, take onions, carrots, green chillies and capsicum. Mix together.
- Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala, cumin seeds powder, amchur and mix well with the vegetables.
- Cut the tomatoes into slices. Spread three to four slices on a plate.
- Now crush the sev puri pieces with your palms or spoon. Add to the masala bowl and mix well. Add lemon juice and sev. Immediately serve on the tomato slices.
Tomato sev puri chaat is ready. Spread sev and coriander leaves for garnishing. Enjoy the spicy and sour evening snack. It is healthy, filling and low in calories.
