Egg Vermicelli Recipe For Breakfast

Serves: 3
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 2 (beaten)
  • Vermicelli - 500 gms
  • Onions - 2 (chopped)
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram - 20 gms
  • Curry leaves - a few
  • Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds - 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Red chilies - 2
  • Cinnamon - 2 sticks
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Oil/ghee for frying
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Salt to taste

Procedure
1. Take a clean bowl and place the following ingredients in it - coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chilies, cinnamon, cardamoms. Now grind all these ingredients together to make a fine powder. You can grind it with a stone or in a mixer.
2. In a pan, switch the flame on and when the pan is hot pour in a little ghee. When the ghee is turning hot, drop the vermicelli into it.
3. Now mix the vermicelli well on the medium flame. You need to roast the vermicelli well with the hot ghee, till it turns a little golden brown in colour.
4. Now when the vermicelli is roasted, add in mustard seeds, gram flour, salt, curry leaves, beaten egg and the powder to the mixture. Now mix all the ingredients well with each other till you begin to see the egg getting well cooked.
5. After a few minutes, add in a little water to the pan and when it begins to boil, add in the vermicelli to the pan.
6. Now let the ingredients cook well, till the water evaporates on it own.

Your egg vermicelli is now ready to eat. You can simply enjoy this breakfast recipe the way it is or you can add tomato sauce and relish in it.
