Fashion Alert: Bell Bottoms Are Coming Back!
Por fin! Those 70's bell bottom pants, the disco era trend is back in high fashion. These flares were actually made for sailors so that it would be easier to get hold of them if ever they fall off. Some say that looking back on the bygone fashion just means lack of imagination. Well, we call it revisiting the past styles with better innovation and material to go with today's booming fashion world.
Much loved back in the 70's from Jane Birkin to Zeenat Aman and Neetu Singh, bell bottoms are making a strong comeback. Of course, flares should not be disingenuous and must be handled with care. We do not want to look like John Travolta in 'Saturday Night Fever' now, do we?

Flares can be perfect for almost any season (except the rainy, if you know what I mean). They can be teamed up with a peasant blouse and a pair of wedges . Now the choice of shoes when wearing bell bottom pants depends on the length of the flares. If not too long, you can slip your gladiators on or a multi coloured wedge goes just right with a denim flared pantaloons. A crochet crop top and a fedora with your flares would be ideal for a spring day with blue sky filled with candy floss clouds.

Working women can slip into their boot cut flares on a busy Monday morning with a black turtle neck and a pale peach scarf. You can also wear a poncho shirt, slim fit bell bottoms and Mary Jane shoes, hoop earing and soft baby curls tied up in a ponytail.
Spring 2015 runway was flooded with 70's and 80's era inspired looks. Who doesn't love bell bottoms, sexy silks and crochet blouse? Toning it down a bit, a crisp white shirt can be tucked into a flared denim with a faux leather brown belt and a boyfriend blazer finishing it off with a Tote bag.

Now, reading all that, you must be wondering how would bell bottoms go with every body type? Well, you need not be skinny or owner of those eerily long legs like the runway models. Bell bottoms go just right with almost all body types if put together right. Women with wide hips, if your flares taper at the knee then it is perfect to disguise those hips. Flares that start at the waist would give you a leaner figure. To accentuate those curves, wear high waist flares that fall from your hips.
Be innovative, be daring. Take your retro look out for a spin. Grab your imagination tight and reinvent the 70's this spring.
Stay stylish!
