Yesterday (June 25) was Karisma Kapoor's birthday and guess what; she completed 40 years of age! You would never have guessed that by looking at her. But 40 is like the new 30 in the film industry. It is good to see Ms Kapoor make a new beginning at 40. She looked really classy in a head-to-toe black ensemble for her birthday party.

KARISMA IN A BLACK SKIRT

Kid sister Kareena Kapoor Khan threw a party at her place for her big sister's birthday. Karisma Kapoor was in a mixed and matched black outfit at the party. She wore a shimmering black top with cropped and well-fitting black pants. The sleeveless black top was total stunner. The embellished black top had deeply cut out sleeves. She also carried a black sling bag with this all-black outfit. And for shoes, she choose to wear stringy flats. The flat footwear was nice and comfortable but did not quite go with the otherwise glamorous ensemble. Karisma could have worn colourful high heels to add some variety to this look that was a little heavy on the black element.

Coming back to Karisma's birthday style, she also painted her nails red to match her lip colour. Her eye makeup comprised simple and stark highlighting with black eyeliner.

Overall, the all-black look worked for Karisma and she looked radiant on her 40th birthday. Also present at the party were BFF Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora. Guess what, even they were dressed in black. Looks like it was colour theme party out there!
