IIFA 2014: Bipasha Basu In Gaurav Gupta Gown

Bipasha Basu was one of the first to reach IIFA 2014 which is happening at Tampa Bay this year. Bipasha Basu's IIFA 2014 appearance was not very expected as she has been off the Bollywood circuit for some time. However, when Bipasha Basu walked down the IIFA 2014 green carpet in style, she seemed like the diva that she is. Bipasha Basu was in a Gaurav Gupta gown at IIFA 2014.

The golden Gaurav Gupta gown that Bipasha Basu wore looked very déjà vu. And then we suddenly remembered that we have seen the same gown on Maliaka Arora Khan just some time back. Bipasha Basu had hardly made any changes to this shimmering metallic gold gown that was showcased at Lakme Fashion Week. The gown was sleeveless toga style gown that was clipped at the waist. Bipasha Basu's Gaurav Gupta gown also had a deep and plunging neckline that was covered in black lace.

For one thing, Bipasha Basu's gown was much better fitting than Maliaka Arora Khan's version. However, Bipasha Basu's new hairstyle totally ruined the look this gown could have given her. First of all, the gown was really heavy due to its metallic texture. So there was need for that blaring red hair colour. And sorry, but Bipasha Basu does look better with straight hair.

Bipasha Basu had worn a pair of really intricate earrings from jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali's collection. However, they were not to be seen because of her noodle curled hair and blazing red hair colour. The coral lip colour was perfect for this look. We just wished that Bipasha has played down on the ‘glitz' element of this gown by having a more ‘normal' hairstyle.
