Cannes 2014: Sonam Wears Elie Saab Again

Cannes Film Festival 2014 is now entering its 6th day and the celebrity turn out just keeps getting better. And now the Indian interest in the prestigious French film festival has peaked because the most awaited Indian celebrities namely Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are at Cannes 2014. While Ash is yet to walk the red carpet, Sonam Kapoor has already walked the red carpet twice. Sonam Kapoor's Cannes 2014 wardrobe has been the issue of much deliberation. Looks like Cannes Film Festival 2014 is going to be the year of Elie Saab for Sonam Kapoor.

Sonam Kapoor's first appearance on the red carpet of Cannes Film festival 2014 was in a Elie Saab 2014 Spring collection gown. Although Sonam looked perfect in this traditional Hollywood style ballroom gown, we were not a fan of this sombre look in black. Next, we saw Sonam Kapoor wear a simple red maxi dress from Elie Saab for a press interview. This sleeveless dress had a sheer lace back and we loved it.

Sonam Kapoor wore Elie Saab for the third time last night at the Chopard party of Cannes 2014. Cannes Film Festival is usually not just about the red carpet and movie premieres. The festivities go on late into the night with various parties. And Chopard parties are famous in this regard. Sonam Kapoor of course is a regular at Chopard parties as she patronizes their jewellery. Sonam Kapoor wore a fairytale strapless gown in a shade of powder blue from Elie Saab Spring 2014.

This gown had a structured bodice and fell into a free fluid pleats below the bust. We love the colour that suits Sonam Kapoor's complexion perfectly. And the princess necklace from Chopard was a signature piece of jewellery. Sonam also styled her hair into a neat pony and middle parted her long hair. A tiny golden clutch was all she needed to complete the look. Simple, lucid and extremely fashionable. We haven't seen a better shade of pastel being worn so far at Cannes 2014.
