Cannes 2014: Blake Lively's Optical Illusion
Cannes Film Festival 2014 is being made 'lively' and glamorous by the presence of Blake Lively on the red carpet. She was the most talked about celebrity on the first day of the festival. And even on Day 2 of Cannes 2014, Blake Lively stole the show. Blake Lively's second Cannes 2014 look was something of an optical illusion.
Blake Lively was in Chanel Spring 2014 dress that is being described as the optical illusion dress. The silver white dress had a plunging neckline and deeply cut out sleeves. But those were hardly the high points of this lovely Chanel gown. The dress was a shimmering sheath that had silk, tulle, organza and was embellished with sequins. For More Pics
BLAKE LIVELY AT CANNES 2014 DAY IN GUCCI
Blake Lively also carried a white silk kimono drape in her arms that was part of the ensemble even for the ramp version of this dress. In fact, Blake Lively insistently kept her hands in her pocket to mimic the ramp look. It seemed that she was walking down a runaway and not the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival 2014.
Blake Lively has developed a reputation for wearing great shoes on the red carpet. And she wore a pair of stellar 'etta' pink high heel pumps from Sophia Webster. The inch long heels of the pumps were embellished with shimmering dismantle. Blake Lively also opted for Lorraine Schwartz jewels with her lovely Chanel dress.
Here is a close look at Blake Lively's second appearance at Cannes Film Festival 2014 red carpet.

In Chanel
Blake Lively's dress on Day 2 of Cannes 2014 was a Chanel Spring 2014 collection dress. She made no changes to the ramp version of this outfit save the shoes.

Optical Illusion
When Blake Lively wore this ankle length dress to the Premiere of 'Mr Turner', it appeared like an optical illusion and that is how the dress is now being defined. The white dress some silk, tulle, feathers and organza as well. It was also embellished with sequins.

The Ramp Look
As you can see in this image, Blake Lively constantly kept her hands in her pocket as she walked the red carpet on Day 2 of Cannes 2014. This was a mimic of the typical fashion model walking down the ramp.

The Kimono Drape
Blake Lively carried a white silk kimono drape with her dress on the red carpet. This too was a part of the original Chanel ensemble presented on the ramp.

Lorraine Schwartz Jewels
Blake Lively wore a pair of diamond earrings that looked like large flowers. It looks rather dazzling with the optical illusion dress.

Sophia Webster Heels
Blake Lively's pastel pink high heels were from Sophia Webster's fashion label. We have to say, the lady has great taste in shoes.

Revealing
You might say that this was a 'revealing' avatar for Blake Lively. The dress had a plunging neckline and also deeply cut out sleeves.

Day 1 Or Day 2
Blake Lively had created quite a stir on the red carpet with her look in this maroon Gucci dress. And her look on Day 2 was equally dazzling in this Chanel number. We like both the ensembles equally. Which one do you prefer?
