Trend Alert: Neon Colour Sarees Are 'In'
Saree styles just keep changing every season. Finally, we have come to a point that sarees are just as transient in terms of fashion as gowns or dresses. Every season, we see a certain saree style that trends and soon, it goes out of fashion. Usually sarees have a permanent place in our wardrobes. But those days are long gone.
The latest trend in Bollywood is wearing neon colour sarees. It started with Manish Malhotra's '100 Years Of Bollywood Collection' at the Lakme Fashion Week 2013. He presented two lovely neon colour sarees. One of these chiffon sarees was neon lemon green with a shaded magenta border and this one was worn by Priyanka Chopra. Another neon green saree with pink embroidery was draped in the Mumtaz style.
Masaba Gupta also did a lot of interesting work with neon colour sarees. She has made neon green one of the most 'in' colours for Indian wear.
