This year too, Sonam Kapoor showed that she is a true style icon for the youth. On the concluding day of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, Sonam Kapoor finally walked the red carpet. The dazzling star walked the red carpet in an Alexander McQueen lace gown and later, she donned a cute princess look at the dinner party. For the media call, Sonam Kapoor carried the simple yet flirtatious girlish look. Before walking the red carpet, Sonam Kapoor wore a black and white polka dotted one shoulder Naeem Khan gown at the Chopard and L'Oreal party at Cannes. Sonam Kapoor tried the vintage look this year. At the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival 2012, Sonam Kapoor wore an Alexander McQueen lace gown . The dramatic couture black coloured gown didn't add much affect on the style diva. Sonam didn't look that great in the vintage gown. Her ruffled collar and sleeves looked messy. Middle hair parting didn't blend well with the look. But, her diamond earrings, red lips and red nails looked better.

Later, at the L'Oreal Paris closing ceremony dinner, Sonam Kapoor stunned everyone with her classic attire. Dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana, Sonam Kapoor looked like a fairy tale princess. The strapless knee length dark red gown looked chic. She accessorised the evening look with a black clutch and classic red velvet high heel ballerinas. The main attraction was her hair accessories. Sonam Kapoor carried the princess look with femininity. She accessorised her hair with an embellished hair band and dangling earrings.

For the L'Oreal Paris interview, Sonam Kapoor gave a hint of the spring. To add a touch to the Cannes beach beauty, Sonam Kapoor wore a Marni Spring 2012 dress. The diva looked extremely feminine and gorgeous in this chic look. This day look was styled by Sonam Kapoor's sister, Rhea Kapoor. The look in Marni dress was accessorised with dangling earrings by Suhani Pittie and Roger Vivier shoes. The yellow shoes with a black tie up lace looked amazing on the stylish diva. Her open mid hair parting with minimal makeup added to the feminine look. Light green eye makeup blended with the spring Marni dress.

Sonam Kapoor is considered as a style icon in the tinsel town. As a professional fashion designer, the 26 year old star knows how to carry any look with class and panache. Although Sonam Kapoor has gathered lots of appreciation for her Cannes 2012 look too, we loved her classic white gown by designer Jean Paul Gaultier at the Cannes 2011 red carpet.
