Vertical labret : goes through the center of the bottom lip, parallel to the tissue. The bar has a slight curve, and is visible both below the bottom lip and in between the top and bottom lips.

Horizontal Lip Piercing : Is a very rare piercing. It is a horizontal bar, usually through the red part of the lip and usually on the lower lip.

Angel bites : If you would like to try a daring look opt for Angel bites, which consists of two upper lip piercings on both sides of the lip. Only labret studs can be used for this type of lip piercing.

Snakebites : Snakebites are found on the opposite sides of the lower lip and both rings and studs can be used for this type of lip piercing.

Spider bites : This type of piercing is done on lower lip twice on opposite sides of the mouth and a labret or lip ring in the center

Monroe/Madonna Piercing : are labret studs worn on the upper lip where famous beauty icons like Marilyn Monroe had her famous beauty mark. Labret jewelry, commonly used for the labret piercing centered above the chin, is used for the Madonna. Labret are available in gold, silver, and as gems. Darker jewelry can recreate the exact look of a beauty mark while gem labret jewelry can give you all the sheen of a Hollywood starlet.
