Easy-to-make Facial Scrubs To Get Rid Of Dead Skin
Dead skin cells are nothing to worry about, as they are a part of your skin's natural healing process. However, if these cells get accumulated in your skin's surface, then it could be a problem.
Many factors such as poor hygiene, excess sebum and many more can prevent the dead skin cells from sloughing on their own.
Irrespective of the reason, build-up of dead skin cells is harmful for your skin, as it can lead to various unsightly problems. Acne, blackhead breakouts, etc., often occur when deposits of dead cells start to clog up your skin pores.
In order to ensure that there is no such build-up in your skin's surface, you should exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. This is an expert-approved way of fighting off this common skin problem.
Weekly exfoliation can benefit your skin and ensure that the dead skin deposit does not wreck a havoc in its appearance. To do this, you can either use store-bought scrubs or create homemade scrubs by using natural ingredients.
Compared to the commercial scrubs, the homemade ones are safe to use and effective. Moreover, they won't really cost you as much as the commercial scrubs do.
Here, we've listed a few easy and effective scrubs that can make dead skin deposits a thing of the past.
Note: It is highly recommended to do a patch test before applying any material all over the skin.
1. Oatmeal With Rose Water
Combine 1 tablespoon of cooked oatmeal with 2 teaspoons of rose water. Slather it on your skin and scrub it for a few minutes, prior to rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Use this mix on a weekly basis to shed away dead skin cells.
2. Sugar With Olive Oil
In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of sugar with 3 teaspoons of olive oil. Smear the concoction on your skin and scrub gently for a few minutes before washing off the residue with tepid water. Remove dead skin cells by using this scrub on a weekly basis.
3. Lemon Juice With Avocado Seeds
Take out the seeds from a ripe avocado and mix it with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Spread it all over your skin and scrub in circular motions for about 5-10 minutes before cleansing off the residue with lukewarm water. Twice a month, you can treat your skin with this scrub to ensure that dead cells do not get accumulated on your skin's surface.
4. Cocoa Powder With Apple Cider Vinegar
Blend 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder with ½ a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of rose water. Then, cover your skin with this material and massage for a little while. Use tepid water to cleanse away the residue from your skin. Weekly usage of this homemade mix can treat the dead skin problem.
5. Gram Flour With Coconut Oil
Put 1 teaspoon of gram flour in a bowl and add 2 teaspoons of coconut oil to it. Slather it all over your facial skin and scrub for a few minutes before washing your face with lukewarm water. Include this homemade scrub in your weekly beauty routine to bid adieu to dead skin cells.
6. Pomegranate Juice With Orange Peel Powder
Combine 1 tablespoon of pomegranate juice with 2 teaspoons of orange peel powder. Scrub it all over your face and neck. Leave it there for another 15 minutes, prior to washing your skin with tepid water. Biweekly usage of this scrub can work wonders on this skin problem.
7. Tomato Pulp With Green Tea And Brown Sugar
Just mix 1 teaspoon of tomato pulp with 1 tablespoon of green tea and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar. Once prepared, scrub the material onto your face and neck. Allow it to settle in your skin's surface for a little while before using tepid water to wash it off. Apply this scrub once a month for getting the desired results.
8. Coffee Grounds With Shea Butter
Create a concoction of 1 teaspoon of coffee grounds and 2 teaspoons of shea butter. Smear it on your facial skin and scrub it gently with the help of your fingertips. Keep scrubbing for a few minutes before rinsing it off with tepid water. Indulge in this method on a biweekly basis to prevent the dead skin cells from getting accumulated.
