7 Home Remedies To Lighten Skin On Pubic Area, Butts, And Inner Thighs!

  • ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp rosewater
  • 1 tbsp glycerine

How to do

  • In a bowl, mix rosewater, and glycerine in the given quantities. 
  • Next, squeeze out the juice from half a lemon and add it to the bowl. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now, take a cotton ball, dip it in mixture and apply it on the affected area. 
  • Leave it on for a few minutes - preferably 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water or wipe it off with a wet towel. 
  • Repeat this activity twice a day for desired results.

2. Orange Juice, Milk, & Honey

Oranges are rich in vitamin C and they can be topically used to treat hyperpigmentation. You can use oranges to lighten skin on inner thighs or other body parts by mixing it with some milk and honey.[6]

Milk is loaded with lactic acid which helps to lighten your skin tone. It also keeps your skin soft and supple and hydrates it. Besides, milk also tends to ward off dead skin cells, leaving behind soft and smooth skin.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp honey

How to do

  • In a bowl, add some orange juice and mix it with some milk. Blend both the ingredients well until you get a consistent mixture. 
  • Lastly, add some honey to it and whisk all the ingredients together to make a creamy paste.
  • Apply the paste to the affected area and massage for about 5-10 minutes. 
  • Leave it on for another 10 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with cold water or wipe it off with a wet cloth. 
  • Repeat this once a day for desired results.

3. Bearberry Extract & Sunflower Oil

Bearberry extract, when used on the skin in combination with sunflower oil & lavender oil, is known to lighten your skin tone and help you get rid of pigmentation and dark patches.[2]

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp bearberry extract
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp lavender essential oil

How to do

  • In a small bowl, add some bearberry extract and mix with some sunflower oil.
  • Now, add some lavender essential oil to it and whisk all ingredients together until you get a consistent paste. 
  • Take a generous amount of the mixture and apply it on the affected area. Let it stay for about 10-15 minutes before you proceed to wash it off. 
  • Repeat this activity twice a day for desired results.

4. Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are packed with compounds that are capable of inhibiting the melanin content in one's skin and is proven to treat hyperpigmentation by lightening your skin tone.[3]

  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp water

How to do

  • Grind some chia seeds so that it turns into a powder.
  • Add some water to it and blend it into a smooth paste.
  • Take a generous amount of chia seeds paste and massage it on to the affected area using your fingertips for about 10-15 minutes
  • Leave it on for another 10 minutes and then wash it off using cold water.

5. Green Tea

  • 2 tbsp green tea
  • 1 tbsp kiwi juice
  • 2 tbsp mashed banana pulp

How to do

  • Take two tablespoons of green tea in a bowl and mix it with some kiwi juice.
  • Add some mashed banana to it and whisk all the ingredients together until you get a creamy paste. 
  • Apply the paste on the affected area and leave it on for about 20 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with cold water and repeat it twice a day for desired results.

6. Tomatoes

Tomatoes contain acidic juices that help you to get rid of dead skin cells. They also assist in maintaining the pH balance of your skin and keeps skin conditions like acne and pimple breakouts at bay - which are one of the causes of uneven skin tone.   • 2 tbsp tomato pulp
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

How to do

  • Mix some tomato pulp with olive oil and whisk both the ingredients together until you get a fine and consistent paste.

7. Gram Flour, Yoghurt, & Apple

  • 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tbsp yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp mashed apple (apple pulp)

How to do

  • Mix besan and yoghurt in the given quantities and blend both the ingredients together.
  • Now, add some apple pulp to it and again blend all the ingredients really well until you get a consistent paste.
  • Apply the paste on the selected area and let it stay for about 20-25 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.

Note: Those with sensitive skin should first try using these remedies on their forearm and wait for about 24 hours to see if it causes any kind of reaction, post that, they can use it on the affected area.
