Tips To Use Face Oils For Glowing And Youthful Skin
Nowadays, using oils on your skin is given much priority than any skin creams or lotions. Oils are a natural means of making your skin glow, which helps your skin feel nourished and healthy.
Facial oils make your skin younger looking, as they remove the signs of skin ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. There are two type of oils that you can apply on to your skin, these are heavy oils such as coconut oil, avocado oil, almond oil, etc, and light oils.
Light oils are called essential oils, as they have a nice natural fragrance and evaporate easily from the skin. The example of these essential oils include jojoba oil, rosehip oil, lemon oil, etc. These essential oils are extracted from the flowers, citrus peels and herbs.
Oils penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin to supply the nutrients present in them. They nourish and moisturise your skin naturally. Another interesting benefit of using facial oils is that you can use them on an oily skin type as well. Facial oils can stop the secretion of excess oil on your oily face.
Here are some tips to use oils on your face for better results.

Avoid Applying Lemon Oil During The Day
Lemon oil and grapefruit essential oils react to sunlight; and if you go out in the sun after applying lemon oil, your face may tend to develop sun rashes. Thus, it is best to apply these oils at bedtime.

Use Oils Based On Your Skin Type
Using the wrong oil for your skin type can have negative effects on your skin. Test the oil on your neck before using it on your face. If you think it works for your skin then go on with its use on your face.

For Dry Skin
If you have dry skin use avocado oil. It will moisturise, nourish and remove fine lines from your skin. Apart from that, avocado oil can remove age spots and sun tan as well. This is a best tip to use oils for dry skin.

For Oily And Acne-prone Skin
If you have oily, acne-prone or combination skin, use jojoba oil. This oil gets absorbed in the deeper layers of your skin to supply the nutrients in it. This prevents the excess secretion of oil on your skin, as this tricks your oil glands on the skin to produce and secrete less oil.

Rosehip Oil For Shiny Skin
If you want a light oil for your skin that makes it glowing, rosehip oil is the best oil to opt for. It hydrates and nourishes your skin and makes it look youthful as well. You can also apply it during the day and before applying makeup as it is light.

Using Body Oils On Your Face
Never use body oils on your face, as they clog the skin pores of your face. Body oils also contain fragrances that may irritate the delicate skin of your face. Face oils are especially meant to enter the deep layers of the skin and nourish it, whereas a body oil can't do that.

Don't Use Too Much Of Oil
Use only 2 to 3 drops of any facial oil per application. Using more than that may cause excessive drying of the skin. It may also give you a feeling of greasiness on your skin. However, you can increase the quantity of oil after a shower, as the skin is usually dry at that point and needs more nourishment.

Using Oils At The Wrong Time
Heavy oils, such as coconut oil and avocado oil, should usually be applied during the night. However, you must use them sparingly during the day. These are absorbent oils and can absorb a lot of oil from your skin.
