Winter Vegetables For Skin Care
Winter calls for more skin care and nourishment. Therefore, here we will see a few skin care tips using the very vegetables that are grown and are available during winter. Winter vegetables include beans, cabbages, sprouts, lettuce, spinach, carrots, onion, peas and asparagus. These vegetables are rich in many vitamins and nutrients. They can be easily grown in the backyard of your house and can be eaten regularly.
Apart from health benefits, winter vegetables also have skin care benefits. Skin care can be taken efficiently using winter vegetables. There are many ways of doing so. These vegetables can be either eaten raw or used externally on the skin in the form of a paste or scrub. There are many other winter vegetables as mentioned earlier. Each vegetable has one or the other benefits for the skin. Thus, this winter use these vegetables and stay healthy.
Skin care using winter vegetables can be done using one of the following vegetables as described below:-

Asparagus
Asparagus is a winter plant whose leaves, stem and root are used for medicine purpose. This is one winter vegetable that can also be used for skin care. Asparagus has many health and skin benefits. It is known for having cleansing properties and thus can be applies directly on the skin as a cleanser. As the skin forms dry patches in winters, asparagus can be used on the dry sores as an ailment. Also, asparagus is used for acme problems. But, one should be careful while using this plant. It can cause irritation and might not suit your skin type. Therefore, rub a little on your hand first and test for any irritation or rashes.

Carrot
Carrots are very healthy. They are very good for eyes as they contain many essential vitamins. Similarly, carrots are also useful and beneficial for the skin. The Vitamin A in carrots protects the skin from UV rays, prevents pre-mature aging of skin, pigmentation of skin, acne and patchy skin. Carrots can be used as a face pack. Also, drinking carrot juice or eating it raw is a good method of skin care using winter vegetables.

Sprouts
The fitness food that gives a lot of low fat energy is also useful for the skin. Sprouts are recommended by many dieticians and skin experts for skin care and weight loss. Sprouts are known to clear the face from dirt and oil. This result in clearing up any acne formed. Sprouts are also known to prevent aging signs like wrinkles, facial lines and dark circles. Thus, sprouts are an option for skin care using winter vegetables.

Lettuce
Lettuce is also known as the "Salad Patta" as it is mostly used in salads, sandwiches and burgers. The green leafy winter vegetable has a lot of skin benefits. Lettuce contains Vitamin A, thus it revitalizes the skin. It has a rich content of Potassium that helps the skin to glow. Also, consumption of Lettuce removes all the toxins from our body, thus making our skin and body healthy.

Spinach
The favorite food of "Popeye - the sailor man" provides us with superman equivalent energy. Along with the energy boosting benefits, spinach is also good for our skin. Spinach is loaded with a lot of vitamins and minerals essential for a healthy and glowing skin. Spinach is also useful for treating acne, repairing damaged skin and providing protection from sun rays. Thus, spinach is one of the vegetables useful for skin care.
