Home-brewed Oil Recipes For Dry Skin

Each of the oil recipes mentioned here have a specific purpose other than healing your dry skin. You can choose the one that is most relevant to your skin problem.
Home-brewed Oil Recipes That Will Heal Dry Skin:
1. Tea Brewed Oil: Tea tree oil is a very effective oil for your skin. It has intense anti aging properties. The problem is that it is either too difficult to find or it is too expensive.
- Tea leaves brewed in body oils too can serve the same purpose.
- You can use either olive oil or coconut oil for this concoction.
- Now you cannot really boil olive oil. You will have have to keep the oil in a pot of boiling water and add soaked tea leaves to it.
2. Brewed Sandalwood Oil: We all know the numerous cosmetic benefits of sandalwood oil. But it is not so easy to find it, is it?
- Sandalwood powder however can be found if not readily available.
- This oil recipe has to be prepared in the microwave or an oven instead of a pan on flame. This is because the soft aroma of sandalwood can be easily destroyed by excessive heating.
- Preheat the oven to about 250 degrees and then brew a neutral oil like carrier oil with the sandalwood powder for 3 to 4 minutes.
- This ensures that you have a body oil that is anti bacterial (thus prevents acne) and is also one of the best dry skin remedies.
3. Aloe Vera Oil: This natural ingredient that works like magic on your skin is usually available in the gel form. But the oil is much more convenient to use.
- So all you have to do is grow an aloe vera plant at home. Scrape up the spike and crush the leaf. Mix it with sunflower oil.
- Take 2 capsules each of vitamin E and C; break them into the oil and heat mildly.
- You can also add a glycerin to this mix in extremely dry climates. Fragrance is optional.
4. Rose Oil: Although it is not rare, rose oil is not as easy to find as rose water. However it is one of the best remedies for dry skin.
- Pick a fresh rose in the morning. Shred and crush it's petals, put the slush in a glass jar.
- Pour a concoction of coconut and olive oil over the crushed petals and close the jar lid tightly.
- Let the fragrance and the essence bleed into the oil overnight. Next morning you can use it.
