Mistakes You May Be Making When Applying False Eyelashes
It's easy to ruin a big night out if you don't apply false eyelashes. False eyelashes look great, but applying them isn't easy.
Your false eyelashes are slowly falling off, even though you applied the glue you splashed out on.

False lashes come with a lot of factors to consider when applying them, from your eye shape to how you remove them from the box (never just rip them out) and that's before trimming and glueing.
The application, maintenance, and removal of false lashes can be tricky for a newbie. Here are some tips to help.
Applying False Lashes: Mistakes To Avoid
1. Choosing the wrong eyelashes
The first step is to pick the right lashes. There are two kinds-one that looks real and one that looks more over-the-top. If you do it right, both look amazing. Your lashes are supposed to open up your eyes and make them look dramatic.
False eyelash strips that are too long can look dramatic, but they're a little dated. A single lash design looks just as good, and it's always more believable.
While they're time-consuming to apply, they always look great.
2. Not cutting it right
When it comes to lashes, strip, or single, the key is cutting them right.
Hold the lashes along your lash line, starting just a little away from your inner corner. When choosing your lashes, think about the shape of your eyes too.
For example, strip false lashes can make your hooded eyes look smaller and enhance them.

Choose long, full lashes for deep-set eyes, while wispier lashes will make your eyes look rounder.
3. Applying it too far away
Newbies often make the mistake of not applying false lashes close enough to their real ones, leaving a strip of skin visible.
Apply lashes, then conceal glue with a thin liner along the upper waterline. This makes the eyelashes look more natural, and hides the glue bits.
Step-By-Step Instructions For Applying False Eyelashes
1. Curl and colour
Apply mascara, preferably in the same shade as the strip you're applying, so the lashes blend together. Curl your natural lashes using an eyelash curler, so they look like the false lashes you're applying.
For longer-lasting curls, hold the curler under the hot air from your hair-dryer.
2. Prep your lashes
You should use lash glue sparingly, whether you're applying strips or singles.
3. Place them right
The lashes should be bent gently so they sit well on your eye shape and stay put.
Using tweezers, secure the ends one after the other with strip lashes after placing them at the middle of the lash line.

Before you put them on, let the glue get tacky (on your eyelid or on the lash if you're using a strip).
You can't always get perfect lashes on the first try. Keep trying; the final results are worth it.
