Line The Lips
After exfoliating and moisturising your lips with a good lip balm it is time for you to play with the lip pencil. Start by tracing the border of your lips with a lip liner. Use either a universal or an invisible lip liner.
Fill In The Lips
Lip liner is generally more long-wearing than lipstick. So make sure you apply this before applying lipstick. Even if your lipstick fades the lip liner makes the look even more even. So it is important to use a lip liner first.
Apply Lipstick To Taut Lips
Hold your lips taut while applying your lipstick. This will ensure that colour is deposited on every part of your lip. This is one of the easiest ways to pull off dark lipstick.
Blot, Then Reapply
All you have to do is take a piece of tissue or toilet paper and gently press it against your lips without smearing or rubbing. After this apply one more layer of lipstick. This helps to even it out properly.
Clean Up The Edges
If your lip line is not quite right, then use a concealer or a lip liner that matches your lipstick to correct the edges of your lips. This helps you to get the perfect look.
