Know Your Colour
You must know before hand which eye colour suits you the best. The ideal colour of your eye shadow will depend on your complexion, colour of your eyes and hair colour. If you have brown eyes, dark shades will look great on you, lighter shades suit the black eyes and shades of brown go well with green coloured eyes.
Size Of Your Eyes
If you have small eyes then avoid putting a line of kajal on your lower eye lids that will make them look more smaller. Instead put a thick line of a liner on your upper lid. For elongated eyes kajal suits best and avoid a thick line over the eyes.
Mascara
If you want to make your eye lashes appear thicker then put some talc over the eye lashes and then cover it with mascara. You may also choose to use mascara available that come with voluming primer.
Start With The Middle
If you are new to apply a liquid liner, start applying it from the centre of your lashes. And then extend outwards. Don't try to make an outer line until you learn how to apply it properly.
Groom Your Brows
If you have done a beautiful eye makeup but your eyebrows are not up to the mark then bring down the whole look. Keep your eye brows in shape and well plucked. They must look neat and tidy otherwise all your work on eye makeup will go to waste.

To make your eyeliner look as vibrant as it is in the pack, here is a simple tip. Cover your eyelids with a white soft eye pencil (or white eyeshadowbase) first and then apply a liner.
Heat Your Eye Pencil
If your eye pencil has become hard and difficult to apply then heat it a little with your blow dryer. This will make it smooth and will give a smooth and dark line on your eyes. Be caredul that you don't over heat it.
Experiment With New Looks
The rule of eye makeup is to experiment. In your spare time you can experiment with new shades and liner styles. This way, you will be able to find a new eye makeup look that will suit you the best.
Be Patient
Eye makeup needs time and patience. If your eye make-up is spoilt,it can ruin your whole look. So apply it patiently and don't rush. If you are running out of time then it's best to apply an eye pencil only or choose to use a gel liner.
