• It is better to work on your complexion instead of putting too much foundation. Do not go out into the sun without a high SPF sun block. Over and above that you can use a compact cream and powder that contains pearl powder.

• Pearl powder will give you the shimmer or inherent glow that your skin needs. Some people might suggest that you can get this glow by using glitter or silver dust but that looks very artificial, meaning human in this case. The finishing you will achieve with pearl powder will be far superior.

• It is best not to use rouge or a blusher when you are going for the pale look. When there is a red flush on your cheek you start looking fresh and blossoming instead of dead white. Remember, the vampires are bloodless so they cannot blush!

• All the blood or redness in your face should be concentrated on your lips. But if it is the new age vampire look that you want then you have to be subtle. It won't do to paint your lips blood red. Use a light shape of red, like the pump colour to look like a vegetarian vampire.

• Yours eyes too are a very vital part of pale makeup. Yours eyes need to stand out in this unusual makeup. Use jet black mascara but don't overdo the lining part. Use a light shade of black to do your eyes; prefer a thin pencil liner instead of dark kohl or liquid liner.
