Radhika Apte Haircare Tips: How To Use Her Favourite Ingredient In Her Haircare Routine
Is Hibiscus Good For Hair Growth?
Hibiscus is enriched with a number of beneficial ingredients that aid in stopping hair loss and preventing baldness.
The extract of hibiscus leaves and flowers contains vitamin C, flavonoids, amino acids, mucilage fibre, and antioxidants, which nourish your hair, promote hair growth, and make your hair soft and silky [2].
There are many types of hibiscus available in a variety of sizes, shapes, colours, including red, pink, yellow, orange, and white. However, the original wild type of this plant bears bright red flowers and is the best for your hair [3].

1. Simple hibiscus mask
- It is best to take approximately 15 hibiscus leaves and 3 flowers.
- Wash them and separate the petals from them.
- Use a blender to grind them all and mix in some water. Make a smooth paste by applying it to the roots and strands and covering them.
- Let it sit for 30-40 minutes and wash them with a mild shampoo.
- You can use it 2-3 times a week.
2. Hibiscus and amla powder mask
- Combine equal amounts of amla and hibiscus powder.
- Add water to make a smooth but not runny pasty.
- Apply hair and scalp and leave for 40 minutes.
- Gently rinse with cold water.

3. Hibiscus and fenugreek hair mask
- In a large bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of ground hibiscus leaves with 1 tablespoon of powdered fenugreek seeds and 14 cups of buttermilk.
- Allow the mixture to sit for an hour on your scalp.
- Make sure you cover all areas thoroughly with the mixture.
- Wash it off with cold water.
