Choose the shampoo that is designed to treat the coloured hair. Using a normal shampoo will strip the colour from the tresses. Therefore, it is advisable to use a mild shampoo for colour treated hair.


Use Vinegar Rinse

Using vinegar rinse is the best way to keep the hair colour. It maintains the pH level of the scalp and locks the colour inside the cuticle. Use vinegar rinse before coloring and after coloring to prevent fading.


Avoid Washing Your Hair Everyday

Washing the hair everyday, fades the colour of the hair easily. Therefore wash your hair once in a week. You may use dry shampoo, to keep the hair clean.


Use Deep Conditioning Mask

Using hair colour causes hair drying and the regular conditioner will not be sufficient. Applying deep conditioning hair masks twice a month will keep the hair colour and lead to a healthy hair.


Avoid Sun Exposure

Sunrays can damage the colour of the hair. UV rays can penetrate deep into the cuticle and oxidise the colour. So avoid sun exposure. .


Say No To Hot Oil Treatment

Even though hot oil treatment helps to maintain healthy hair and promotes hair growth, it's definitely a big no-no, if you want protect your hair colour. Hot oil treatment can fade the hair colour.
