That's right, ginger does more than add a tinge of flavour to your food or clear your bowel system! Ginger stimulates blood circulation, which in turn allows your hair follicles to absorb nutrients and oxygen better!

Furthermore, ginger contains antiseptic properties that break down the yeast build-up on scalp and keep flaky dandruff at bay!

To top it all off, ginger seals split ends, restores lost pH balance of your scalp and makes your locks super glossy.

Other ingredients included in this ginger mask for hair growth are avocado oil, lemon juice and basil leaves.

Avocado makes your hair silky. Lemon cleanses the scalp and promotes regeneration of new hair follicles. And, coconut milk soothes and nourishes your scalp.

So, here is a step-by-step method on how to improve hair growth naturally using ginger.

Step 1:

Peel, grate and grind 1 ginger into a smooth paste. Put the paste in a strainer and squeeze out as much juice as you can. Keep the juice aside.

Step 2:

Add a tablespoon of avocado oil to the ginger juice and mix well. Avocado oil is packed to the brim with vitamin B complex, amino acid, and essential fatty acids that nourish hair follicles and make it smooth.

Step 3:

Add half a cup of coconut milk to the mixture. Lauric acid present in coconut oil will repair damaged rough ends, cleanse scalp and nourish hair.

Step 4:

Next, add 10 drops of lemon juice to the mixture. Citric acid and vitamin C present in lemon will cleanse thescalp, break down chemical buildup and kill infection-causing bacteria.

Step 5:

Comb your hair to remove all unwanted tangles. Exert as little pressure as possible, and use a wide-toothed comb to reduce the amount of breakage.

Step 6:

Apply the mixture to your scalp. Massage it using fingertips for 5 to 10 minutes. It will allow the mask to seep in better and stimulate circulation.

Step 7:

Let the mask sit for 45 minutes and then shampoo and condition as usual. Use a mild cleanser that is free of toxic chemicals.

Step 8:

Squeeze out the excess water with atowel. Avoid rubbing your scalp, as it can cause your hair strands to break. Let your hair air-dry naturally.
