How does this hair growth mask work? It cleanses the scalp of residue, stimulates blood flow, bolsters collagen count, which in turn regenerates new hair follicles.

Ingredients included in this herbal hair mask to improve growth are orange, banana, lemon, egg and milk.

Orange contains a chock-full of vitamin C and it stimulates blood flow, which helps the hair strand to absorb nutrients and oxygen better, stimulating growth.

Lemon juice is a rich source of citric acid that cleanses the scalp of impurities, breaks down yeast, gets rid of dandruff, and forms a protective shield on the hair strands against damaging free radicals.

Egg packs a powerful punch of proteins, which improve the collagen and elastin levels of the hair. Banana acts as a natural conditioner, adding smoothness, volume and shine to the locks.

Last ingredient in this hair growth mask, milk, has unsaturated fats, which seal cuticles, adding softness to the hair.

So, here is the step-by-step method on how to improve hair growth naturally with this hair growth mask.

Step 1:

Take a bowl, separate egg white from the yolk. Throw the yolk; and using a fork, keep beating the white until you get a fluffy smooth consistency.

Step 2:

Take another bowl, add half ripe banana. Smash the banana until you get a smooth, no lump, pulp. If you still find the banana lumpy, using the mixer and give it one good whip, it will smoothen right up.

Step 3:

Add the banana pulp to the whipped egg white and add a tablespoon of freshly squeezed orange juice. Keep stirring the hair growth mask until you get a smooth paste. Tweak the content, depending on the thickness and length of your hair.

Step 4:

Add a few drops of lemon to it and a teaspoon of milk. Mix them all together, until you get a smooth paste. If you have excessively dry and damaged hair, increase the banana content, as it works as an excellent deep conditioner.

Step 5:

Using a wide-toothed comb, remove all knots from the hair. Hold hair from mid-length and then run the comb through the ends, it will untangle your locks without breaking. Then proceed to comb your hair, starting from the root working your way down.

Step 6:

Divide your hair in 4 to 5 sections. Using a brush, apply the mask. Start from root, and work your way down. Keep applying two to three coats, until your lock is thoroughly doused in the mixture. Repeat the same with every section.

Step 7:

Once your have applied this hair growth mask, next take a kitchen foil and wrap your hair in it. It will help the mask to seep in better. If you don't have silver foil, simply tie your hair in a loose bun and cover it with a shower cap.

Step 8:

Let the mask work for at least an hour. Later, cleanse your hair with a mild shampoo. Banana is hard to remove, so make sure to thoroughly rinse it out from your hair. As banana already is a deep conditioner, avoid applying additional conditioner, as it can make your hair greasy.

Step 9:

Squeeze out excess water from your hair, using an old t-shirt, blot your hair to remove moisture. Later, wrap your hair in a t-shirt. This simple step will keep your locks from frizzing out. Whatever you do, avoid scrubbing your scalp with towel harshly!
