10 Things To Know In Your Hair History
You might be a little taken aback by the mention of the word hair history. You must be wondering how can your hair have a history? You hair is not a monument or a place; it is a part of your body. But nothing in this world comes without a history or past. The genes that your hair has inherited and experiences that it has been through together constitute your hair history.
Put it simply, the history would inmclude of details like what type of hair you have, what is its texture, what colour is your hair and what are the hair colours you have tried etc. So, basically your hair history is a record of what your hair originally was. For example, the type of hair you originally have was wavy but you have straightened it. The care for straightened hair is different from naturally wavy hair.
Knowing the history of your hair helps you take better care of it. For example, if you know that your father was bald and so was your grandfather, you will know that there is a tendency for baldness in your family. This will help you take care of your hair in advance so that you can avoid premature balding.
These are some of the important things about hair history that you should keep a track of.

Hair Type
Your hair type gives the details of your hair thickness. Do you have a naturally thick hair or hair that is thinning at the temples? Do you have a larger forehead? If you do, then you need to change the way you comb your hair.

Hair Colour
Your original hair colour is always the best for you. If you have black hair then you must oil your hair to maintain the colour. Too much sunlight can destroy the colour of your hair.

Hair Texture
Texture refers to the kind of hair you have. For example, you may have straight, curly, wavy or frizzy hair. Now if you have permed your straight hair or straightened your wavy hair, then it doesn't come under your hair history.

Hair Heredity
The kind of hair you inherit from your family is very important. Some part of hair history is dependent on genes. Few people have a heredity problem of balding or premature greying. If you know about it beforehand, you can be prepared for these challenges.

Did Colour Your Hair?
Colouring your hair with artificial colours is big landmark in your hair history. Whether you like it or not, colouring leaves an effect on your hair. You need to take special care of your coloured hair until it grows completely.

Hairstyles That You Have Tried
You might have a naturally straight hair, but you can try a different hairstyle that makes your hair look wavy and bouncy. Also, how many times you shave your hair has an impact on its growth.

Is Your Hair Oily Or Dry?
Every person's hair is unique. Some people have oily hair and others have hair that is dry. If you have dry hair, you need to oil your hair very often. If your hair is oily, you need to wash is frequently.

Scalp n Dandruff
If your scalp has a tendency of getting dry then you might suffer from dandruff. But even if you have an oily scalp, you may end up with dandruff. However, there are few methods that can help you deal with dry and oily dandruff.

Grey Hair
If you have a tendency to develop premature greying, then your hair might turn grey at the age of twenties. Sometimes, colouring can also lead to greying of hair.

Hair Growth
If your hair growth is fast then you can try different hairstyles within a short span of time. But, malnutrition or rather improper food habits can also be responsible for slow rate of hair growth.
