The ampotheric nature of baking soda is known to restore PH balance of the skin, while its anti-bacterial properties heal skin inflammation. Make a concoction of 1 tablespoon of baking soda and a cup of warm water. Soak a cotton ball in the solution and rub it on the affected area. There is a reason why honey is used in almost all beauty rituals. Its rich nutrients give the skin an amazing glow, while its anti-bacterial properties protect against skin infection. Apply a thick coat of honey on the inflamed skin. Wait until dry before you wash it off with cold water.
