Bathing Tips For Glowing Skin

Is your skin dry and dull? Do you get pimples and acne on your body? Then may be you are not bathing in the right way. Sometimes, the most simple bathing tips can help you improve the quality of your skin. Bathing properly is one of the best remedies for dry skin. That is why you need to follow the right bathing tips to get glowing skin.
Every person wants to have skin that glows with good health. There are some pre-requisites to healthy skin. You must eat right and bathe right too. You find it funny that someone needs to teach you how to bathe. But most of the time, we get the basics of our beauty regime wrong. As bathing is one the most basic requirements of beautiful skin, you must go about it in the right way.
Here is a step by step break up of how an ideal bath should be. It might be difficult to follow all these bathing tips for a glowing skin in your busy schedule. But try to stick to these steps as far as you can.

Oil yourself before bath
Your skin will not glow if it is dry and bathing can wash away some of the essential oils from the skin. So apply olive oil or coconut oil on your body before you bathe. This is not possible every day; but you must do it once in a week.

Use warm water to bathe
A hot water bath is always better for your skin. The warmth of the water re-energises your skin. Hot water is also more effective in expelling dirt from the skin pores.

Don’t use soap every day
Using soap on your skin everyday makes your skin dry. You can use soap to wash your private parts and underarms for personal hygiene. But avoid soap on your arms, legs and especially your face.

Use exfoliator once in a week
Just like your face, the rest of the body also accumulates dead skin cells. That is why you need to use an exfoliating scrub on your body to get rid of dead cells. This will give you a natural glow.

Scrub your back every week
Most of us are lazy about scrubbing our back. We often scrub our back purely on whim. This is not a healthy habit for your skin. A smart bathing tip is to keep a back scrubber close at hand.

Don’t bathe for too long
Water absorbs the natural body oils and leaves your skin dry. So never bathe for more than half an hour. Ideally, you bath should be done in 10 to 15 minutes. Shorten the duration of your baths during winters when your skin tends to get dry.

Use natural soaps
Artificial soaps have chemicals that make your skin dry. So try to use natural ingredients like besan (gram flour) and milk cream instead of soaps.

Dab with a towel, don’t rub
Many people have the bad habit of rubbing their skin with a towel after taking a bath. Your skin is very sensitive after a bath so never rub it. Always dab with a towel to soak up the water.

Moisturise immediately after bath
Your skin pores are open after you bathe. So the moisturiser gets absorbed easily and fully after a bath. Apply lotion or cream while your skin is still damp.

Bathe everyday
Try not to skip your bath ever. Bathing washes away all the dirt from the body and gives you a natural glow.
