However, during summers your feet becomes more dry and is almost all the time exposed to sun and dirt.
Like skin and hair care, foot care during summers is also important. In the hot season, you either leave your feet open or close them completely in shoes. Whatever footwear you try, foot problems like fungal infections, smelly feet, eczema, psoriasis, blisters can be a real pain. Wash: Make sure that you wash your feet after coming from outside. Dirt gets accumulated very easily in between the toenails. So, wash your feet and cleanse it with a scrub while taking shower. If possible, wash your feet frequently throughout the day. This also reduces the formation of sweat in the feet.
Exfoliate: Exfoliation is a must! It removes dead skin cells, opens up skin pores and allows the feet to clean up. This also prevents the chances of developing foot infections.
Let your feet breathe: Wear flip flops or slippers as much as possible to allow the skin pores to breathe. Avoid heavy boots or completely closed shoes in summers. Open sandals in soft material prevents cracks and also softens the feet.
Sunscreens: Your feet too needs protection from UV rays of the sun. Apply sunscreen on the feet to prevent it from tanning.
Moisturise: This foot care tip must be followed in every season. Your foot doesn't have sweat glands so they tend to become dry and crack easily. So, make sure you moisturise twice a day; once after taking shower and second time before going to bed.
