Prevent Tan Lines On Your Feet
An ugly tan on your feet is the most unappetizing sight of all. Tan lines become very easily visible on your feet. That is why, your feet need special protection. It is not easy to prevent a tan, especially if you are living in a tropical climate like India. And feet get tanned most easily because the are easily exposed to the ruthless heat of the sun.
If you follow some simple steps, you can prevent a tan on your feet. However, you must be regular with these exercises to avoid even the slightest tan lines that make your feet look weird. Uneven complexion spoils the beauty of your feet. So try these tips to stop your feet from getting tanned.
Covered Footwear
It is our habit to wear chappals and flip flops during summers. And you can hardly blame people for wearing such footwear in the heat of the summer. After all, we all want to find some comfort in the tyrannous weather. However, when you are going out during the day time, try to wear covered footwear. This will keep your feet protected from tanning and you can show off your pretty feet in fashionable footwear at night.
Regular Pedicures
You must be thinking that pedicures are a cure not a prevention against tanning. But you are wrong. The skin of your feet becomes tough due to wear and tear. So even if you apply sunscreen lotion, the tough skin does not absorb it. But regular pedicures keep the skin on your feet tender and thus, the sunscreen lotions can do their job in a better way.
Sunscreen Lotion
When ever you are going out during the day, apply 2 coats of sun screen lotion on your feet. Take some time to massage the lotion properly into the skin and even in between your toes. You need a sunscreen lotion of at least SPF 40 and above for tropical summers.
Socks
If you cannot avoid wearing flip flops in the day time, at least wear them with socks. It does get a little uncomfortable to wear covered footwear in the hot summer. So wear thick cotton socks to protect your feet.
Foot Massage With Cream
Massage your feet with a moisturising lotion every night. This is again a preventive measure to keep the skin on your feet soft and supple. Wash and scrub your feet before you massage it with lotion or cream.
These are some simple and effective ways to prevent tan on your feet.
