Facial Exercises To Shape Upper Lip

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have fuller and pout lips like Angelina Jolie or our very own Katrina Kaif? To have your lips like them, either you need a surgery or make up. Neither of these options are feasible for us. To have those lips, one doesn't really need to go through any superficial methods. Naturally, with the help of a few exercises, lips can get a proper shape.

Facial exercises meant for lips are essentially inspired from Face Yoga Techniques. These are a set of exercises that tone the muscles around the lips, especially that of the upper lip, giving them the appropriate shape. These facial exercises also reduce the wrinkles around the upper lip and make the skin firm.

Facial Exercises To Shape Upper Lip

A few of the facial yoga exercises that would help shape your upper lip are listed below:

The "O" - In this exercise make a perfect O shape with both your upper and lower lips. Keep your lips tense and smile as hard as your can so you feel your cheek muscles contracting. It helps in reducing the wrinkles near your lips and also gives a shape to your lips.

The "Pout" - Sit straight and purse your lips together gently. Concentrate on lifting your pursed lips up toward your nose. Lift as high as you can and hold for five seconds. Relax and repeat five times.

The "Suck" - This exercise tightens and tones the muscles in and around your lips making them look in shape and full. Place your pointer finger in your mouth and suck on it as hard as you can. You should feel the muscles of your cheeks and your lips contracting. Hold for five seconds, then slowly relax your mouth and remove your finger. Repeat 10 times.

The "Fish Face" - Suck in the sides of your mouth to make a fish face. Work your lips up and down. Hold your lips for five seconds at a time. Do this 10 to 20 times. This helps to increase the lip size and gives them a shape.

The "Flying Kisses" - Blow kisses to yourself in a mirror for 30 seconds to a minute. The pursing action of the lips will make them appear slightly swollen.

The "Pop" - Close your lips tightly, press them inward. Make a popping noise with your mouth, and then relax the lips. Repeat as many times as you like. It helps make your lips shape better.

Hopefully the above facial exercises would make you get your dream upper lips. Also, these same exercises added with a few more helps in getting the right cheek bones and tone your facial muscles.
