Akshaya Tritiya 2023: Pumpkin Sweet Recipe For Akha Teej
Akshaya Tritiya is one of the pious festivals in India, which is celebrated by worshipping Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. This year the festival will be celebrated on Saturday, 22 April 2023. On the occasion, sweets are distributed among friends and family to start the day and the year with sweet-filled memories.
Pumpkin is one of those vegetables which can be used to make halwas, you must have heard of 'Doodhika Halwa' or Papaya Halwa. Pumpkin halwa is definitely one of the best sweets that you can prepare on Akshaya Tritiya.
If you have pumpkin at home and a few simple ingredients, try this recipe on the weekend, especially on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya!

Serves - 6
Preparation Time - 15-20 minutes
Cooking Time - Half an hour
Ingredients:
1. Pumpkin - 800 g (grated)
2. Sugar - 1 cup
3. Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
4. Ghee - 2 tbsp
5. Coconut - 2 tbsp (desiccated)
6. Melon Seeds Powder - 2 tsp
7. Mixed Dry Fruits - 2 tbsp (chopped almonds, pistachios, cashew, peanuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.)
8. Milk - 1 cup
9. Condensed milk - 1 cup
10. Water as required
Here's how you can prepare shakkar pare sweet recipe
Procedure:
1. Take a kadhai and heat it. Pour ghee into it and add all the chopped dry fruits. Sauté it a little.
2. When the dry fruits become a little golden brown, add grated pumpkin. Again sauté it for a few minutes.
3. Sauté the pumpkin, until it leaves water. Add water and stir well.
4. Once the pumpkin becomes soft, add milk and cook again. Cook until it becomes tender. Mash well and make it almost dry.
5. Now, add dessicated coconut, condensed milk and sugar into the pumpkin and mix all the ingredients well. Sprinkle some cardamom powder and stir again before turning off the stove.
6. Pumpkin halwa is ready to be served.
7. Take a little glass bowl and fill it with the halwa. Have it hot or chilled.
