One of the most common problems that young couples are facing today is infertility. Unhealthy lifestyle, sleep deprivation, stress, junk foods, etc, are all common reasons behind this. In case of men, the reasons for low sperm count can be physical as well as psychological. Whatever the reasons are, a low sperm count delays the procedure of getting pregnant, when a couple plans for a baby.

While you do yoga, your whole body moves in a rhythm. The blood circulation is increased to the lower abdomen. Yoga also boosts up the health of the reproductive gland, along with extending the reproductive age of the male.

1.Agnisaar Kriya:

This is one of the oldest and the most important yoga poses to increase sperm count. Stand and bend, keeping feet a foot apart. Place your palms on your knees. Keep your belly loose. Exhale and hold your breath. Try to pull your stomach inwards, as much as possible, towards your back. Then inhale slowly and loosen your belly again. This completes one cycle of this exercise. You should practice it for 2-3 times.

2.Setubandhasana:

Lie down straight on your back. Bend your knees and keep your heels closer to your hips. Hold your ankles with your hands. If not possible, keep your hands beside your hips with your palms inside. Take a deep breath and lift your hips slowly. Don't move your shoulders and heels from the ground. Close your eyes and concentrate on the painful area of your spine. Hold the position as long as you can with usual breathing. Return to the initial pose and relax.

3.Halasana:

This is one of the best yoga poses to increase sperm count. Lie down straight on your back, keeping your palms firmly on the floor. Now, lift your legs up and make a 90 degree angle with your waist. Raise your waist and extend the legs beyond your head to touch the ground. Hold the position as long as you can.

4.Bhastrika Pranayam:

Sit straight as in Padmasana. Close your eyes. Keep your hands on your knees in a gyana mudra. Exhale fully with two nostrils and inhale deeply. Maintain a rhythm of breathing and slowly increase the speed. Do it until you get tired. Consider this among the effective yoga poses to increase sperm count.

5.Dhanurasana:

Lie down on your stomach. Raise your legs and hold the ankles with your hand. Inhale and lift the lower body and chest from the floor. Only your stomach should be in touch with the ground. Tilt your neck backwards. Hold the position as long as possible with normal breathing.

6.Ashwini Mudra:

Again, sit in Padmasana, in a straight posture. Close your eyes. Now, pull up your anus and lower abdominal muscles and relax. Focus on the contraction and relaxation of muscles, and do this for 100 times in 2 sets each.
