At the same time, one of the important aspects apart from building a house is the kind of interiors that we give to the house, especially wood flooring. However, with the rates shooting up everyday, it is essential for us to know the kind of woods that are available and what suits our budget.

In order to decorate our house make them look beautiful from inside many of us go for wood flooring. However we must make sure that the woods we choose for the house is worth the investment we make. Red oak
You can choose red oak, if you have given a white or light colour paint to your house walls. As a matter of fact red oak is the most popular flooring found in the Western Countries, especially America. Red oak flooring gives a warmth and cosy look to the house. It is a dense and stiff wood that does not wear out easily. Use this wood for the flooring of bedrooms and staircase.

White oak
White oak, as the name says is not white in nature. Its a brown coloured wood with little shades of grey. It has grains which have swirls and this makes it look natural. It is more harder and durable when compared to red oak. Hence, it is highly recommended that this wood is used for the flooring of living room and bathroom as it does not wear out easily.

Birch
This is a strong type of wood that comes in colours ranging from light yellow to dark brownish red. Though it is soft in nature, it has high durable rate and is considered to be long lasting. This wood is more convenient if it is fixed in the living room. Birch gives a calm look to the house.

Beech
This is an excellent shock resistance wood that is best suitable for bathroom flooring. Its durability makes it apt for the bathroom flooring and since it is hard and strong. Beech comes in reddish brown colour.

Pine
This wood is also a hard wood that can be used for the flooring in any part of the house. Its yellowish brown colour gives it an elegant look. Pine wood contains a lot of swirls and knots. And for those who wants to keep insects at bay, this is a perfect flooring option as it has a natural resistance to insects.

Cherry
Cherry wood is a very soft type of wood. It is strongly recommended to not to use this wood for the whole floor as it is easy to wear off. Instead it can be used for a decorative purpose or for window panes. Cherry wood comes in light brown color.

Douglas fir
Douglas fir is mainly used for decorative proposes and for staircases. This wood is a yellowish tan in colour and is about half as soft as red oak and can dent easily.
