Tips To Do Your Pooja Room Decor Super Fast:

1. The Leafy Torana: Indian festivals are always associated with harvest and this festival usually falls at the end of March. So what is the biggest summer harvest of the year? Mangoes of course. The torana or string of mango leaves tied horizontally over doors represents 'green' or bountiful harvest. Mangoes are also a favourite of Lord Kartik or Kumara Swamy so it most definitely should adorn the doorway to your sacred chamber.

Rangoli can be made with colour, white rice paste or flowers. A symmetrical pattern is usually drawn around the the place where the kalash is placed. You can repeat the same designs at the four corners of the room to make it look like a theme.

4. Fresh Flowers: If you want to keep it simple and traditional then fresh flowers, specially yellow ones must be placed at the foot of every deity you worship. A Hindu pooja room is a shrine to many gods and goddesses. On this special day, be partial to none. Flourish flowers and garlands on all. It is also customary to garland the pictures of your family members who have passed away.
