Natural Green Remedies For Warts
f you have warts on different parts of your body then don’t get frustrated about it. Warts are non-cancerous skin growths that are caused due to more than 70 strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are irregular growths found on the hands, feet, arms, and other parts of the body.
Nearly 60% to 70% of the warts do fritter away on their own without any treatments, yet there are some that don’t go away even after a few years. And while 25% disappear within 3 to 6 months, nearly 65% of them can take more than 2 years to vanish from the body.
The frustrating issue of warts is that they can be communicable and would most likely spread due to a direct contact with the skin either through cuts or scratches (when your outer skin has become vulnerable with injury or moisture).
Some of the kinds of warts are the common warts (appear on the fingers), subungual and periungual warts (forms around the fingernails or toenails) and plantar warts (mostly formed on the soles of the feet).
Warts which are caused by viruses can be dispelled through antiviral home remedies. It is always safer to use home remedies to get rid of warts; nevertheless, if you have any medical concerns then do consult your doctor for remedies.
Here are some of the green ingredients that are easier to apply on warts.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is mostly used for treating common wart (called Verruca Vulgaris). Filled with antibacterial, antiviral or antiseptic properties, aloe vera can weaken the virus resistance. Make sure to use either the gel or the juice directly on to the warts.
Firstly, try to take a cotton ball in order to soak up the gel or the juice before applying it directly on to the skin. Your skin has to be clean before applying this green ingredient on the affected area.
After applying it on the skin, make sure to secure it by using a bandage on the affected area. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
Green Tea
Everyone is aware of green tea and its health benefits. Green tea heals blemishes and helps to make the skin complexion glow, if used consistently. Known for its antibacterial agents, green tea can even suppress the warts caused by bacteria.
Crammed with inflammatory properties (is high in polyphenols and epigallocatechin gallate), green tea helps to flush out toxins. Make sure to apply a few drops of green tea on the affected skin for better results.
Dandelion
Warts that appear alone or in clustered forms can be removed through treatments offered at dermatological clinics or through natural home remedies (which are equally effective). The stems, roots and leaves of dandelion can take away warts on the skin, if used regularly.
The white gluey resin of dandelion has to be applied on to the affected areas. Moreover, applying home remedies for warts can gradually break-up the warts.
Basil
Basil, which is mostly used for cooking, is one of the perfect green ingredients to be applied on the warts. Known to have anitviral compounds, this herb can kill the HPV (viruses), which tries to cause warts.
For treating warts, take basil leaves and crush them completely. Next step, apply the crushed leaves on the area surrounded by the warts and secure them with a band aid. After 30 minutes, wash the affected area with lukewarm water.
Pineapple Juice
Pineapple juice is essentially considered to be an excellent choice for the easy removal of warts. It is essential that you try to apply fresh and pure pineapple juice twice a day around the affected area for nearly 10 minutes. Try to avoid contact with the surrounding skin.
Diet
If there are any deficiencies in your body, there can be an increase in the risk of warts. It usually appears due to a weakened immune system. Watching your diet and adding certain foods can eliminate warts from your body.
It's a prerequisite to add foods into your diet that are rich in vitamin C (citrus fruits, bell peppers and strawberries) and high in potassium (green leafy vegetables, avocados, bananas and coconut water), as these foods are considered to help boost the immune system, swill out excess fluids and waste out of the cells, which in turn helps to reduce cellulite.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has the power to treat a variety of skin conditions. Try to apply one or two drops of this antiviral on the wart and make sure to cover the affected area with a bandage.
Before applying this powerful oil, it is better to dilute the ingredient with water. Then use a cotton ball containing the compound on the area with warts. This essential green ingredient can be used to improve the skin tone and to treat acne and warts naturally.
These are certain home remedies that can be applied on the warts for better results.
