Skin cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer. Cancer if detected at an early stage is not always fatal. It is caused when cells reproduce in an unrestrained manner. But prevention is always better than cure. If you consume certain foods on a regular basis or take some preventive measures then you can easily prevent skin cancer. The best way is to opt for the natural ones. Here are some ways to prevent skin cancer.

Sunscreen- UV rays of the sun are protruding the earth's atmosphere at an alarming rate due to the depletion of the ozone layer. An over exposure to these rays may cause skin cancer. So every time you go out into the sun just make sure you dab on some sunscreen onto your skin to prevent cancer. Eggplant- It has been proved that eggplant extracts are not only effective in preventing cancer but works as an excellent natural cancer cure. The eggplant extracts are rich in a phytochemical called solasodine glycoside. Both invasive and non invasive skin cancer can be treated by it. And the best part is that the cancer in such cases do not return back.

Berries- All kinds of colourful berries are not appealing to eyes but also very healthy. Apart from being rich in antioxidants they contain a skin cancer fighting pigment called apigenin. Moreover as you eat them raw you gain all its nutrient benefits. They are a rich source of water and moisturise your skin better than anything else. It has been proved by many researches and studies that coffee destroys the sun damaged cells very effectively before they turn cancerous. According to Rutgers University, a combination of coffee and exercise accelerates the pace at which sun damaged skin cells are destroyed thus reducing the chances of cancer.
