Vitamin B Complex: You might have seen ads on pills with vitamin B complex for brain. Vitamin B complex improves the functioning of the brain. Foods such as potatoes, beans, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, soy products especially soy beans, beetroot, bananas, eggs and almonds.

Whole grains: Whole grains such as wheat, cereals, whole wheat bread, brown rice, millet and wheat germ are healthy foods for the brain. These foods improves concentration and increases mental awareness.

Omega 3 fatty acids: For a strong memory and concentration, have omega 3 fatty acid rich foods. Omega 3 fatty acids also controls depression and stress. Fish oil is highly rich in omega 3 fatty acids. It improves memory and also increases concentration. Olive oil, garlic, tuna fish, turkey, salmon, eggs, rice, cereals and pasta are also rich in omega 3 fatty acids.

Carbohydrates: Food such as brown rice, apples, bananas, raisins, whole grains and sprouts which are rich in carbohydrates. To have a healthy brain, include these foods in your diet as it increases awareness, provides energy and increases concentration.
