Egg yolks for breakout treatment

Skin Care With Egg Yolk

An egg yolk mask can work as good as any product that is available in the market for the treatment of acne breakouts. It is a wonderful organic treatment for acne that does not have any side effects like all commercial products do. The smell apart, you will only be very surprised with the results.

Making An Egg Yolk Face Mask

Making an egg yolk face mask is very easy and the best part of this face mask is that you can use it on any part of your skin other than just the face. So, it is just a one-time job really. Here is how you can care for your skin with an egg yolk face pack.

• Take an egg, break it and try to separate the yolk from the white. Remember the egg white will not be used in the facial. You do not have to waste the egg whites; you could just cook them for your dinner.

• Now, take the yellow part of the egg, i.e. the yolk and dab it or smear it all over the face or skin. Make sure that you avoid your eyes, mouth and nostrils. It is possible that you would be left with a lot of the yolk despite of ample application. In such a case, you could store it in the refrigerator for later use. Egg yolks can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

If you realise, nothing was added to the yolk before it was applied on the face. It is this simplicity in the preparation that makes it one of the most commonly used facial treatments in the world. You may find the yolk slipping off your skin when you dab it at first, but with constant application, you’d have learnt to do it well enough to prevent it from dripping. Once the egg yolk has dried (which you will know when your skin starts to stretch by the pull of the drying yolk), wash it off with lukewarm water. Use a face wash after an hour or so to ensure that the effect of the yolk settles in.

If you are allergic to eggs or poultry, make sure that you do not apply these. There's a good chance that your skin may react adversely to it. So do not take the risk. Also, request the owner of the salon that you visit for your regular facials to avoid putting egg in your skin care preparations.
