Your Locks Get & Look Healthy - When you ignore shampoo for your hair, the oil tends to build up in the scalp. This oil acts like a natural conditioner for the hair and thus helps your tresses to have a shine and healthier look. Scalp oils are nature's conditioner.

Harsh Chemicals - Did you know that the commercial based shampoos have harsh chemicals which can damage your hair in just about three washes. Over the counter shampoos are prepared with Sodium lauryl sulfate which is also the main cause of cancer.

Less Water

Less Water - When you don't use shampoo for your hair, you tend to lose less water to wash your locks. This is good for your scalp as less water results to better looking and healthier hair. Experts state water alone can be responsible for 80 percent of colour fade, so it is thereby best not to use a lot of water.

Use Talc Instead - There are experts who claim to say talc is the best ingredient you can use in your hair if you find it oily and dull. Talc has less amount of chemicals when compared to shampoo. So, try to use talc to ward off smelly hair and oily bangs.

baking soda

An Option - Measure 2 tbsp baking soda into a 500 mL/1 pint glass jar. Wet hair. Fill jar with water and stir to dissolve baking soda. Pour over head and scrub into hair. Rinse. Measure 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar into same jar. Add water, pour over head, and rinse almost immediately. This is one of the best options you can use in your hair other than shampoo.
