When Is Sarva Pitru Amavasya 2023? Follow These Remedies To Remove Pitru Dosha
When Is Sarva Pitru Amavasya 2023? In Hinduism, the Moon holds great significance in Hinduism and the activities of Amavasya and Purnima related to it are important from a religious point of view. Sarvapitri Amavasya is celebrated on the new moon day of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month. This is the last day of Pitru Paksha and on this date, Pind Daan is offered to all deceased ancestors.
This year, Sarva Pitru Amavasya will be celebrated on Saturday, 14 October 2023. On this day, all the ancestors are present at your door, and if you have unknowingly forgotten the Shraddh of any ancestor, then on the day of Sarva Pitru Amavasya, Pind Daan can be done by performing Shraddha of all the ancestors. Some special measures can be taken on this day which can help in getting relief from all Pitru Doshas.

Tarpan and Pind Daan
Tarpan and Pind Daan should be done to the ancestors on the day of Sarva Pitru Amavasya. According to the common method, small balls are made by mixing rice, cow's milk, ghee, jaggery, and honey and they are offered to the ancestors. Along with the donation of these Pindas, black sesame seeds, barley, kusha and white flowers are kept in water.
Feeding The Birds
According to religious belief, during the period of Pitru Paksha, the souls of ancestors came to earth in different forms. In such a situation, put grains for the birds on the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya. Especially, you need to feed the crows.
Recitation Of Geeta Or Garuda Purana
Garuda Purana is recited before or immediately after the death of the person. Therefore, the recitation of Garuda Purana on the day of Sarva Pitru Amavasya provides peace to the souls of the ancestors. Apart from this, Bhagavad Gita can also be recited on this day.
Virtue Of Charity
Donation is considered very important during the Pitru Paksha period. By donating to a needy person, one not only receives his blessings but also receives special blessings from the ancestors. Therefore, on the last day of Pitru Paksha, on Sarvapitri Amavasya, do not forget to donate as per your capacity.
Panchabali Karma
It is believed that during Pitru Paksha, the ancestors receive their share of Panchabali Karma directly. In Panchabali, there is a provision for cow sacrifice, dog sacrifice, cock sacrifice, Pipaladi sacrifice, and Devbali. It is considered better to perform Panchabali Karma on the day of Shraddha or on the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya. In cow sacrifice, take out food for the cow and feed it to the cow, in dog sacrifice, give it to the dog, in the case of cow sacrifice, give it to crows, in Pipalika to ants, and finally, keep food on leaves outside the house in the south direction for the gods.
