When Is Holi 24 or 25 March 2024? The festival of Holi is considered very special in Hinduism. This is one of those big festivals of India which people of all ages eagerly wait for. People celebrate Holi with great joy and enthusiasm. This year the festival of Holi is on Monday, 25 March. Before this begins, Holashtak will be observed from 17 March.
Holashtak starts eight days before Holi. It is believed that the position of the planets remains very aggressive during these 8 days. Its direct impact is on common people's lives. The position of the planets is not favorable, due to this no auspicious work is done during this period.

There is also a belief regarding Holashtak that this was the period when Prahlad, a devotee of Lord Vishnu, was tortured and tortured by Hiranyakashyap. According to the Hindu calendar, the auspicious time for Holika Dahan is from 11:13 pm to 12:07 am on March 24. Holika is worshiped and burnt in fire only after sunset. Bhadra is also celebrated on the day of Holika Dahan.
Holika Dahan is celebrated on the full moon day of Phalgun and Holi festival is celebrated on the next day. The date of Phalgun Purnima will start at 9:54 am on March 24 and end at 12:29 pm on March 25. Holi will be celebrated on 25th March only.
• Holika Dahan will take place between 11:13 pm to 12:33 am.
• Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga on Holika Dahan from 07:34 am till 06:19 am the next day.
• Bhadra starts from 09:55 am till 11:13 pm. There is only 01 hour and 20 minutes for Holika Dahan.

According to the Hindu calendar, Holika Dahan or Chhoti Holi is on Sunday, 24 March. Holi or Dhulandi is falling on Monday, 25th March. It is worth noting that this year a lunar eclipse is also taking place on the full moon day of Holi, although it will not affect India.
