Weekly Vrat and Festivals In July 2023: July Fast And Festivals In Fourth Week
The month of july is full of celebrations and festivals across India. These festivals are famous and are celebrated at a grand level. Jyestha month begins after the full moon of Vaishakh month. According to Hindu Calendar, Sawan month has started from 04 July 2023. There are many major fasts and festivals in this Sawan month.
According to the Hindu calendar, many important fasts and festivals will be followed in the fourth week of July. Let us know about the Weekly Vrat and Festivals in July 2023.

1. July 24 2023, Monday
Leaped First Shravan Somwar Vrat- Shravan month is dedicated to Lord Shiva as it is considered his favourite month and therefore, devotees, especially unmarried and married women fast every Monday of this month so that they get a desirable husband and a blissful married life simultaneously. If one keeps the fast, then they are blessed with the desired results from Lord Shiva.
2. July 25, 2023, Tuesday
Leaped Second Shravan Mangala Gauri Vrat- In Shravan month, along with Lord Shiva, his consort, Goddess Gauri is also worshipped. Therefore, women worship and keep fast for this deity in the belief that it will fetch them conjugal bliss and prosperity. The vrat is observed on Tuesdays of the Sawan month which validates the name.
3. July 26, 2023, Wednesday
Adhika Masik Durgashtami- Durgashtami fasting is observed every month during the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha. On this day devotees of Goddess Durga worship Her and observe a day-long fast and when it is observed in Adhika Masa or leapt month, then it is known as Adhika Masik Durgashtami
4. July 29, 2023, Saturday
Padmini Ekadashi- Padmini Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and it falls during leaped month, which is also known as Adhika Masa, Malmas and Puroshhottam Masa. Ekadashi which falls during Shukla Paksha of Adhika Masam is known as Padmini Ekadashi and it is believed that by observing fast on this day, one can get rid of all their sins
5. July 30, 2023, Sunday
Adhika Pradosh Vrat- Pradosh Vrat is observed to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva on both Trayodashi Tithis, i.e. Shukla Paksha Trayodashi and Krishna Paksha Trayodashi, in the lunar month. However, certain people distinguish between the Shukla and Krishna Paksha Pradosham. On this day, a strict fast is observed and the day is believed to bring happiness, success, and fulfilment of desires.
6. July 31, 2023, Monday
