Politicians usually queue up here to take her darshan. Dignitaries like Vasundara Raje Scindia, Yogi Adityanath, Amit shah, and Rahul Gandhi have got special pujas done here.
Benefits: Pitambara is a Siddhpeeth. People believe that the mere sight of Devi eliminates your enemies and troubles. There is a Dhumavati idol here which is a combination of Shiv and Parvati which no married woman visits due to some belief.
Here, in the year 1978, the idol of Dhumavati Mai, another form of Parvati, located in Shakti Peeth, was consecrated. It is told that no married women visit Dhumavati Mai here. This is why dignitaries from all over the country, keep coming here all the time for darshan.
During the four navaratris and other occasions, yagas and homas are performed for the protection of the nation through Durga shat chandi jaap and Durga saptashati .
Other than this, the temple celebrates Parshuram Jayanti, Bhairav Jayanti, and Geeta Jayanti. Music festival is organized on Basant Panchami, in which renowned classical musicians and singers present their concerts.
