Soundarya Lahari Shloka 9: What Are The Benefits, Rituals And Meaning?
Soundarya literally means beauty and lahari when translated, means waves. This volume contains the wisdom of Lalita. Each sloka bestows you knowledge or strength. Each mantra is by itself a transcendental vibration and Soundarya lahari mantras or slokas contain this vibration and hence are known to be energetic mantras.

The collection of these verses is dedicated to Shridevi Lalita Maha Tripura Sundari. Soundarya Lahari signifies the powerful wave of beauty of her form. Each shloka is a wave of Sridevis immeasurable powers.
Sloka 9
"Maheem Mooladhaare Kamapi Manipoore Huthavaham
Sthitham Swaadhishtaane Hrudi Maruthamaakaashamupari!
Manopi Bhroomadhye Sakalamapi Bhithvaa Kulapatham
Sahasraare Padme Saha Rahasi Pathyaa Viharase!'
Meaning
Oh, Mother, You move from Muladhara chakra which represents Pruthvi tatva and Swadhishtana chakra that represents Jala tatva. You also move from Manipura (Agni tatva), Anahata (Vayu). And Vishuddhi Chakras ( Akasha ). You continue from Agnya chakra to Sahasrara Chakra to meet Parama Shiva.
Sadhana
1) If you haven't been initiated into this sadhana, chant this regularly for 108 times. If you are initiated already, follow the advice of your guru. As per the scriptures, the rules and restrictions for the Sadhana are given as follows.
2) Get up early in the morning, complete the cleansing bath, wear fresh clothes and sit in your puja mandir.
3) Sit facing the northeast direction to begin your day's sadhana.
4) Get the 9th sloka yantra inscribed on a gold plate and dab a paste of musk on the plate.
5) Keep Sri yantra or mother's photo and 9th sloka yantra in front of you.
6) Invoke mother with her dhyana mantra.
7) Worship yantra with red yellow and white flowers. Chant Lalita trishati alongside.
8) Make a sankalpa of 45 days sadhana
9) Chant this verse 1008 times, for 45 times on a daily basis.
10) Offer Prasada of Cooked rice, sweet milk-gruel, coconuts and honey to mother and end your sadhana with dhyana mantra to Goddess.

Benefits
1) These benefits are normally enjoyed by the upasaks of Sri vidya. If you are not yet initiated, surrender to Goddess and chant the sloka 1 full rosary every day. Some of the benefits can definitely be achieved. Getting more benefits depends on the extent of your karma, prapti and sadhana.
2) Mastery over the 5 elements will be gained.
3) If anyone has been absconding from your house for a long time, or if you are separated from your spouse for a long time, he will return soon after you finish this sadhana.
4) Chakras will be activated.
5) the Chakra energy will be balanced inside your body.
6) You will gain health by getting treatment for sicknesses related to these elements.
7) You will reach a good level of understanding with your spouse. He/she will listen to you and accommodate with your desires. In turn, you reciprocate with gratitude.
8) All sorts of earthly luxuries will be attained. You will be blessed with fancy residences, and holiday at spiritual retreats.
