Sawan Adhik Maas Shivratri 2023: Date, Puja Muhurat, Shubh Yoga And Significance
Sawan Shivratri 2023: Shravan is the most favourite month of Lord Shiva, who is Mahadev, which means Lord of the Lords. It is also said in this month that Lord Shiva himself roams the earth on this day. Lord Shiva is very pleased with Jalabhishek in the month of Shravan and showers blessings on the devotees.
In such a situation, Shravan is a very holy and important month and holds immense significance in Shravan. This is the best opportunity to get the blessings of Bholenath. The second important thing about this year's Shravan is that it falls in Adhikamas.

Sawan Adhik Maas Shivratri 2023: Date
In 2023, Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Shravan Adhik month will be observed on Monday, 14 August, the second Shivratri fast of Savan and the first of Adhik month. Apart from this, a very rare coincidence will also take place during this Shivratri and due to this two auspicious yogas will be formed on this day.
The reason behind this is, it falls on Monday and hence both Siddhi Yoga and Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will be formed on this day. It is Shravan and Adhikamas, and Shivratri which is a rare occurrence in astrology.
Sawan Adhik Maas Shivratri 2023: Shubh Puja Muhurat
Shivratri Puja timings will start from 10:25 am on 14 August and end at 12:42 pm on 15 August. Shivratri fast will be observed on Monday only.
Sawan Adhik Maas Shivratri 2023: Significance Of Vrat (Fast)
Lord Shiva's blessings are showered by fasting on Shivratri and the one who is showered with the blessings of Mahadev, all his troubles go away and becomes very successful. In 2023, there will be two Shivratris in the month of Shravan and therefore, you can worship Mahadev, do Rudrabhishek and chant Om Namah Shivay mantra to please him.
