Sawan 2023: Why Fourth Somwar Vrat Is Special, Know Puja Vidhi To Please Lord Shiva
Sawan is a month which is a holy and auspicious month and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is during this time, Shiva devotees worship and follow all rituals along with Jalabhishek to please Bholenath and get the choicest of blessings. Be it asuras or deities, whoever worships Lord Shiva fulfils everyone's wishes.
In case one is not able to worship Lord Shiva every day, then one needs to atleast keep fast on Mondays to please him. It is after 19 years, an auspicious coincidence has happened and due to that Sawan will continue till 59 days. Therefore, one will get 8 Mondays to observe fast and that will give them manifold results.

In Purushottam month, work and charity will also be done in Shravan. Three Mondays have passed and the fourth Monday is coming which is equally auspicious. Let us know why this day is special, and what puja vidhi to follow to please Lord Shiva.
Sawan 2023: Why Is Fourth Monday So Special?
As told that after 19 years such an opportunity has come when Shravan will be of 59 days and 8 Mondays will fall. Now the fourth Monday is even more special because Ravi Yoga is being formed on this day. Along with this, there is also Shivvas on this day i.e. there is a very good yoga for Rudrabhishek.
Ravi Yoga is from 05:42 in the morning to 06:58 in the evening. Apart from this, there is also Preeti Yoga. If Ravi and Preeti yoga are together then it is considered very auspicious. That's why there is a great opportunity to please Shiva on the fourth Monday, and if Shiva is pleased, consider that all your wishes are fulfilled.
Sawan 2023: Rudrabhishek Date And Time
Since on the fourth Monday, the time of Shivvas is only till 07.26 in the morning, so if you want to perform Rudrabhishek, then it would be appropriate to do it before this time.
Sawan 2023: Somwar Vrat Puja Vidhi Or Worship Method
- You need to take a bath in the morning and pray to Lord Shiva.
- You can visit a Shiva temple and perform Jalabhishek or Rudrabhishek.
- You can offer sandalwood flowers, light incense stick, oil lamp, belpatra, dhatura, shami leaves etc. to Lord Shiva
- You can recite Shiva Chalisa.
- You can then perform aarti of Lord Shiva or Mahadev.
