Ramadan 2024: What Are First Ashra Dua, Second Ashra Dua, And Third Ashra Dua During Ramzan
Three Ashra Of Ramzan: Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is a month of worship for Muslims. In this holy month, Muslims fast during the day and offer prayers five times a day to strengthen their relationship with Allah.
This month is a blessed month for Muslims. As soon as the month of Ramzan begins, the period of prayers also begins. Let us know which prayers are recited in the first Ashra, second and third of Ramzan.

What Does Ramadan Mean?
The word Ramadan comes from an Arabic word, ramaḍa, which means 'be hot'. This period symbolizes intense thirst and scorching or excessive heat, reflecting the physical state of those fasting from dawn until sunset and also because it is observed during the hottest time of the year. Spanning 29 to 30 days, depending on the moon, Ramadan is segmented into three parts, each known as an 'Ashra,' signifying different phases of this holy month.
What Is Ashra During The Holy Month Of Ramadan?
There are 29 to 30 days in Ramadan. In Islam, the month of Ramadan is divided into three parts called Ashra. Ashra in Arabic is number ten. The first ten days (1-10) of Ramadan are called the first Ashra, the second 10 days (11-20) are called the second Ashra, and the third ten days (21-30) are called the third Ashra.
There are 3 Ashra in the month of Ramadan. Know What They Are And Their Meaning
1. First Ashra of Ramadan- Day of Mercy
'Pehle Ashray Ki Dua' is a term in the Urdu language means first prayer during the first 10 days of Ramadan. During this period, God has mercy on those who perform Roza Namaz. There is a belief that in the first ten days of Ramadan, Muslims should help the poor and needy by donating as much as possible.

English Translation- "O! My Lord forgives and have Mercy and You are the Best of Merciful"
2. Second Ashra Of Ramadan - Day of Forgiveness
'Dusre Ashra Ki Dua' in the Urdu language means the day of forgiveness and it will continue from the 11th day to the 20th day of Ramzan. During this time, Muslims must ask for the forgiveness of Allah (Almighty) as well as regret their mistakes.
Dusre Ashra Ki Dua- أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبي مِنْ كُلِ ذَنبٍ وَأتُوبُ إلَيهِ
English Translation- "I ask forgiveness of my sins from Allah who is my Lord and I turn towards Him."
3. Third Ashra Of Ramadan - Safety From Hell (Nijat)
'Teesra Asra Ki Dua' in the Urdu Language is something that is practiced during the last 10 days of Ramadan. Muslims around the world recite this to get protection from hellfire and the blessings of Allah. This starts on the 21st day of Ramadan and ends on the 29th or 39th of Ramadan, depending on the moon. This is also known as the 'Night of Power' (Lailatul Qadar) and many Muslims also engage in Aitkaf (seclusion for prayers) in this Ashra in order to maximize their prayers.
