Rakshabandhan 2023: Vastu Tips If You Want To Invite Positive Energy In Your Home
This article explores how the principles of ancient Indian architectural science, Vatsu Shastra are intertwined with the Hindu festival -Rakhsa Bhandan. It delves into directions, placement of ritual items, colour significance and cleanliness as per vasthu shastra that can amplify positivity and strengthen bonds during the celebrations.
Vastu Shastra, an ancient Indian science of architecture and buildings, holds a significant place in our lives. It is believed that following the principles of Vastu brings peace, prosperity, and happiness.
Raksha Bandhan is here which is a popular Hindu festival as it celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters. Let us explore how these two aspects intertwine during the celebration.
Significance Of Direction
According to Vastu Shastra, directions play a crucial role in determining positive or negative energies. During the ceremony of tying rakhi on Raksha Bandhan day, it's suggested that sisters should face towards the West while brothers should face the East as this direction is ruled by Lord Indra who represents power and responsibility.
Importance Of Placement For Ritual Items
Proper placement of items used during rituals also has its significance in Vastu. The Thali containing Roli (sacred red powder), rice grains for Tilak (mark on forehead), sweets, diya (lamp) and rakhi should ideally be placed in the northeast direction which is considered auspicious as per Vastu.
Role Of Colours In Enhancing Positive Energy
Colours play an essential role not only aesthetically but also energetically as per Vasthu principles. Choosing colours like yellow or green for rakhis can enhance positivity because they represent life force energy and harmony respectively. Similarly wearing clothes of favourable colours can add more vibrancy to the festival.
Impact Of Cleanliness And Clutter-Free Spaces
'Cleanliness leads to godliness' - this saying holds true especially when it comes to following the principles of Vastu shastra during celebrations like Raksha Bandhan. A clean clutter-free environment allows a smooth flow of positive energies thereby creating harmonious vibes around.
Influence Of Plants And Flowers In The Ceremony Area
As per Vastu Shastra incorporating certain plants like Tulsi or flowers such as marigolds can purify surroundings due to their inherent properties thereby enhancing the festive spirit further.
