The festival of Ekadashi holds great importance in Hindu religious belief. There are two Ekadashi tithis every month on the occasion of which Lord Vishnu is worshipped. Paush Putrada Ekadashi is celebrated on the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Paush month. This year Pausha Putrada Ekadashi will be celebrated on 21 January 2024.

By observing fast on this day and worshiping Lord Vishnu with devotion, one can get the wish of having a child fulfilled. Along with this, the life of a child also stays protected. Here are some special mantras that you can chant on this day.

1. On the day of Putrada Ekadashi, one gets a child by chanting a special mantra related to Lord Shri Krishna. Lord Shri Krishna is also the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, hence while worshiping, Santan Gopal chants the mantra ('ऊं देवकी सुत गोविंद वासुदेव जगत्पते। देहि मे तनयं कृष्ण त्वामहं शरणं गत:') 'Om Devki Sut Govind Vasudev Jagatpate'. Chant the mantra 'Dehi me tanayam Krishna tvamaham sharanam gat'.

2. On the day of Putrada Ekadashi, chant the mantra ('ऊँ नमो भगवते नारायणाय' मंत्र) 'Om Namo Bhagwate Narayanay' at least 108 times for the happiness and safety of your children. By doing this you will get the special blessings of Lord Vishnu and your kids will be happy.

3. People who wish to have a child should also chant this mantra on the day of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi -
"ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं ग्लौं देवकीसुत गोविन्द वासुदेव जगत्पते। देहि मे तनयं कृष्ण त्वामहं शरणं गतः।"
