On the day of Karwa Chauth, women observe the Nirjala fast and break their fast after seeing the moon in the evening. For this fast, married women dress up like newlywed brides. On this day she does 16 adornments or 16 Srinagar.

Bangles are very important in the Solah adornment of women. Glass bangles not only enhance the beauty of hands but are also a sign of marriage. In preparation for Karva Chauth, women especially bring a set of bangles matching their saree and suit. But this year it is being advised not to wear new bangles on Karva Chauth. Karwa Chauth 2023: Why You Should Not Wear New Bangles This Year
This year Karva Chauth falls on 1 November 2023 and it is a Wednesday. New bangles are not woven on Wednesday. In many parts of the country, there is a saying for married women that 'Mars should not open the bracelet and Mercury should not wear the bangles.' This means that after marriage, women should not wash their hair on Tuesday and should not wear new bangles on Wednesday.
Tips To Wear New Bangles
Karwa Chauth will seem incomplete without new bangles. On Monday i.e. today itself, wear the new bangles in your hands for some time and then take them off. In such a situation, you can wear these bangles while getting ready for Karwa Chauth.
