This day also celebrates the divine union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
This Teej is considered a very holy and sacred festival. On this day, married women do sixteen adornments and observe Nirjala fast throughout the day. However, some women can be on their periods or menstruate during this time period, so certain rituals have to be avoided. Let us know how to keep the fast of Hartalika Teej during periods.

1. You can observe Nirjala fast even during menstruation. On the morning of Hartalika Teej, after taking a bath, wear clean and white clothes and do solah Srinagar.
2. While fasting during periods, you need to take care that you do not touch any items associated with the puja ritual.
